Vietnam to suspend the import of used machinery, equipment and production lines

The Prime Minister has asked the ministries to review the quality control mechanism for machinery, equipment and production lines imported. This move is to avoid the import of goods which are outdated, of low quality and harmful to the environment. Under the request of the government, ministries should review the list of possibly harmful imported goods being machines, equipment and production lines that need to be checked upon when arriving at Vietnam. This is to promote projects of cleaner and energy-saving.
