The update regulations on Vietnam Fisheries Law that regulate the procedures of licensing offshore fishing has been issued. According to Circular 25/2013/TT-BNNPTNT, organizations or individuals who intend to fish with fishing vessels in offshore water have to make an application with following documents to be completed by the captain and chief engineer :
– An application for a license for fishing vessels doing fishing;
– Contract of the fishery cooperation;
– Certificate of registration of the fishing vessels;
– Certificate of technical safety of the fishing vessels
– A list, photos and passport numbers of the crew members who work on the mentioned fishing vessels;
Within 5 days, the General Fisheries will evaluate the documents will reply whether the application is rejected or not.
Circular shall be effective from the date of Jun 25th, 2013.
