New provisions on e-commerce law

ANT Lawyers – Jul 4th, 2013. The new Vietnam law on managing e-commerce websites has been issued.  The Ministry for Industry and Trade Vietnam recently promulgate Circular 12/2013/TT-BCT that prescribes notification procedures, registration and disclosure of information related to e-commerce websites. Accordingly, websites of organizations or individuals that are registered to provide e-commerce services will be terminated if the website has no activity or trades after a period of thirty (30) days.  Traders or organizations that have established e-commerce websites and want to decommission or transfer the website shall notify the Ministry of Industry and Trade to register the termination.

This Circular takes effect as of from July 1st 2013 and replaces Circular 46/2010/TT-BTC.
